ADDITIONAL RIG DETAILS/HISTORY:
A unique Walker-Neer 250-40 Apache that has been running over the past 12 years. It is an incredibly unique Walker-Neer in that it is carrier-mounted with back on high sub creating a 14’ KB.
Precision Drilling out of Canada, whom rig was purchased from, built an automated pipe system that will rack and un-rack to the two pipe baskets as well as role load and unload drill pipe without touching. The pipe is fed into a hydraulic boom that raises the pipe into the derrick for connections or trips.
The right-angle box has been upgraded with a 1,000hp right angle box that drives the draw works. Also upgraded, the swivel top drive to a Venturetech XK-150 swivel with a backup swivel. The rig has drilled to a depth of 7,500’, but 5,500’ – 6,000’ is a very comfortable depth. We have casing swages that make up to the swivel which allows us to run our own casing, which is a big money saver.
The rig is very mover friendly in the field, the rig with (2) trucks and a forklift from location to location can be moved within 4 hours without additional assistance. It can be set in and ready to raise the derrick when the roughnecks return from days off. It is operated with a 2 – 3-man crew. It is the most efficient rig made.
Seller has drilled over two million feet of hole with an average depth of 5,000’. It will out drill any Jackknife made to 5,000’. Rig has been very well maintained and drilled its last well in October 2024. Rig is in central Texas and ready for inspection.
